Rawson\" src=\"http:\/\/windowonyourpast.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/karen-e1345923952486.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"226\" align=\"left\" \/><\/a>Abigail Rawson, an attendee of the 1850 first National Woman&#8217;s Rights Convention, was portrayed by Karen Board Moran, a Worcester Women&#8217;s History Project steering committee member and chairwoman of the Reenactment Committee for Women 2000, a celebration of the sesquicentennial of the 1850 first National Woman&#8217;s Rights Convention.\u00a0\u00a0 Using historic newspaper articles and other historical data she recreated Rawson&#8217;s life as an upper-middle class wife of a Worcester confectioner.<\/p>\n<p>Moran&#8217;s research was done during her <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanantiquarian.org\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">American Antiquarian Society<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>1997 Lila Wallace-Reader&#8217;s Digest Teacher Fellowship on &#8220;The First National Women&#8217;s Rights Convention held in Worcester in 1850&#8221;. \u00a0At the time she was a teacher and coordinator for social studies department at Auburn Middle School, Auburn, MA. \u00a0Based on her research Moran wrote a classroom play <a href=\"http:\/\/windowonyourpast.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/Classroom-Script-2000-by-Karen-Board-Moran-1000.pdf\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800080; font-family: 'arial black', 'avant garde'; font-size: 16px;\">&#8220;Window on the Past: Revisiting the First National Woman&#8217;s Rights Convention&#8221; (2000)<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>narrated as Mrs. Rawson and presented the play and excerpts of it at various venues for over five years. \u00a0It&#8217;s Arizona debut will be in fall 2013.<\/p>\n<p>As chairwoman of the Reenactment Committee, Moran enlisted nearly fifty women and men to work with her, most of whom researched the particular attendees whom they portrayed in\u00a0<em>Angels and Infidels.<\/em><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1550\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1550\" style=\"width: 258px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/windowonyourpast.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/1998-Lobbying-for-WWHP-Rep.-Chandler-DE-Lt.-Gov-Mimmer-Rep.-Paul-Haley.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-1550  \" src=\"http:\/\/windowonyourpast.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/1998-Lobbying-for-WWHP-Rep.-Chandler-DE-Lt.-Gov-Mimmer-Rep.-Paul-Haley.jpg\" alt=\"1998 Lobbying for WWHP Rep.
